Abstract:
This thesis comprises of three chapters. Chapter 1 is a meta-analysis on the correlation between Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and social support in children and young people. Chapter 2 is a qualitative study exploring young people’s experience of talking about trauma within the context of a randomised controlled trial exploring the effectiveness of Cognitive therapy for PTSD. Chapter 3 is a press release document for both the meta-analysis and qualitative study.
