The thesis was published by Rakickas, Andrius, in December 2015, Vytautas Magnus University.

Abstract:

Supply chain management paradigm encompasses different scientific fields, integrates diverse range of empirical research, still, a quantitative assessment of supply chain management processes is poorly researched area, allowing to understand not only the grounds of managerial philosophical processes, but also their tangible and measurable expression, avoiding the processes’ incompatibility. It should be emphasized that the supply chain management processes in scientific sources of a management field are divided into supply chain and processes’ management research trends, analyzing these phenomena separately. In dissertation the supply chain concept systematic analysis has been completed, supply chain participants’ structure modifications have been established, supply chain concept has been specified, supply chain management and processes’ gap concepts have been formulated, the assessment techniques of business process on the aspect of a gap have been provided. Supply chain processes’ management evaluation model has been established and justified, with the help of it the coefficients of processes, processes’ gap coefficients and muda are calculated quantitatively. This model includes the assessment demand of supply chain processes’ management, supply chain processes’ management evaluation set of measures and methods, evaluation of processes, supply chain processes’ management evaluation (gaps), supply chain processes’ management evaluation filter, supply chain processes’ management improvement trends. This model could be used as universal means for analyzing the different supply chain participants. The applicability of methods used and the validity of the data are determined by empirical research and approved by reflection of the experts of organization.
