Cuidados, G茅nero y Cultura de Paz. Presupuestos te贸ricos y percepciones en el sistema educativo andaluz.
This doctoral thesis entitled “Care, Gender and Culture of Peace. Theoretical assumptions and perceptions in the Andalusian educational system” aims to understand, analyse and make visible the care that takes place in the Andalusian educational system. The aim of this research is to highlight, raise awareness and give prestige to care in any field and area and in any intra and interpersonal relationship, as well as the urgent need for its praxis and distribution in the private and public world from any discipline and space. Our research is based on different theoretical and methodological approaches such as Women’s and Gender Studies, Peace Research and the ethics of care, which have allowed us to learn about the different results, conclusions and limitations regarding care.
At the methodological level, this research has been carried out through a qualitative interpretative and ethnographic methodology that has allowed us to describe, interpret and reflect on our object of study. We have chosen this methodological approach because it is adapted to our needs for information and understanding. This study was carried out in four secondary schools with different socio-economic, cultural and territorial realities. Observations, interviews, workshops, diary entries and discussion groups were carried out in order to find out how the educational community as a whole perceived care and how they developed care practices.
