This thesis describes the possible benefits of dispatching a physician staffed mobile medical team together with a regular nurse staffed road ambulance for patients suffering from acute traumatic brain injury in the Netherlands. Some suggestions to adjust the standardized prehospital treatment protocol are made that may improve patients outcome after severe traumatic brain injury.
