Neurophysiological Techniques to Modulate and Measure Motor Learning in Stroke Patients and Healthy Individuals

The thesis was published by Jonker, Zeb, in October 2022, Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to investigate the clinical and biological effects of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) in motor learning and recovery of upper extremity function after stroke. Furthermore, we explored individual differences in motor learning and brain activity in healthy individuals, as this may elucidate potential targets for treatment in stroke patients.
