In the JUMPER-study, the largest trial in PT to date, we investigate the effectiveness of newly proposed progressive tendon-loading exercises (PTLE) versus eccentric exercise therapy (EET) as the current standard of clinical care in athletes with patellar tendinopathy (PT). The therapeutic effects are evaluated using both clinical and radiological outcome measures, of which the latter also includes advances imaging modalities that enable tissue quantification.
