FLOW
The project that is presented in this report is conductedby a team of Industrial Design 2nd semester studentsfrom Aalborg University. With the ultimate goal of doingless harm this project revolves around both identifyinglocal scrap materials of high quality and local productioncompanies, capable of producing the product proposalto prolong the lifetime of the materials. This has resultedin FLOW – a planter box that utilizes compact laminatefrom kitchen tabletops cutouts and non-woven textilewith different original purposes. The compact laminategives FLOW a low maintenance and great weather resistance, while the non-woven plant bag ensures increasedgrowing conditions of the plant through airflow to theroots and a continuous flow of water from the containerutilizing the textile’s capillary properties. This enables abusiness opportunity for the involved companies to increasebrand recognition locally and acquire a greenerand more sustainable image by taking into account thesocial and economic aspects of FLOW.
