Non-functioning pituitary adenomas are benign tumors of the pituitary. This thesis examined the prognostic factors and results of surgery in patients undergoing surgery for non-functioning pituitary adenomas. Normal values of plasma-cortisol after surgery were described. The relationship between hormone production and an aggressive phenotype tumor cells was also investigated, including the role of TGFBR3L.
