Organizational Dynamic Capabilities Impact on Changes in Supply Chain

Abstract:

The PhD dissertation presents how organizational dynamic capabilities perform in supply chain and what impact on changes in supply chain stages is done. The text analyzes organization’s supply chain concept, structure and substantiates the importance of supply chain management for organization. Next chapters presents a concept of organizational dynamic capabilities, substantiates the impact of organizational dynamic capabilities on organizationā€˜s performance and presents more detailed concept of dynamic capabilities which enables more detailed investigation of impact of organizational dynamic capabilities on changes in supply chain stages. The enablers of six dynamic capabilities were selected from scientific literature and systemized. During qualitative and quantitative researches, applying focus group and expert survey methods, the dynamic capabilities that influence the changes in the stages of supply chain mostly were grouped, and their significance was assessed. Finally, the universal model of influence of dynamic capabilities of organizations on changes in the stages of supply chain was created. The model is suitable for any manufacturing company, managing the entire supply chain or only a part of it. By using the model, an organization can identify what dynamic capabilities in which stages of supply chains and how much influence the changes, thus, improving the performance results of organization.
