Abstract:
This thesis highlights the relevance of the periconception period to investigate placental health. Periconceptional placental parameters measured in virtual reality could be part of a strategy for accurate prediction of placenta-related complications. Ultimately, these parameters could contribute to the selection of patients who might benefit from preventive and therapeutic modalities for placenta-related complications, starting as early as the periconception period.
