VEIKSNIAI, TURINTYS ĮTAKOS AMBULATORINĖS REABILITACIJOS EFEKTYVUMUI, ESANT JUOSMENS-KRYŽMENS NERVŲ ŠAKNELIŲ IR REZGINIO LIGOMS
In the dissertation, an analysis of functional status and life quality of 111 patients with lumbosacral nerve root and plexus disorders as well as their changes during the rehabilitation was performed. Evaluation of patients’ health status in a biopsychosocial approach was performed using the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health instrument provided a possibility to assess impairment of body functions, activity limitations, and participation restrictions considering to personal and environmental factors. In the study patients’ psychoemotional status, its change during the course of rehabilitation, and its relation to the indices of effectiveness of rehabilitation were investigated. Prognostic models for the effectiveness of rehabilitation were developed using the multivariate logistic regression analysis. The results showed that the effectiveness of rehabilitation, evaluated by clinically significant changes in pain and disability, was influenced by the patient’s physical health at the beginning of rehabilitation, recurrence of pain, intensity of leg pain, body flexibility, nature of work, duration of sick leave until the start of rehabilitation, and patient’s attitude to health. The predictive value of these factors was ambiguous.
