Abstract:
The subject of the scientific considerations in this dissertation is the analysis of possibilities and justification for hybridization of the electric power storage in modern EVs, using lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors. The fundamental motivation for the research of this energy storage configuration stems from the deficiencies which pure battery storage EVs possess. As most significant deficiencies this dissertation recognizes those which can be linked to accelerated battery aging caused by the type of battery load characteristic for EV drive, which further influences other technical and economical aspects.
