Valutazione e gestione del rischio per i Beni Culturali: strumenti e metodologie
Cultural Heritage that has survived to the present day despite natural disasters and catastrophic events is today increasingly in danger: natural events, accelerated and made even more destructive by the effects of climate change, the continuous outbreak of new armed conflicts and the unawareness with which men exploit the territory lead to an increase in the risks and possible damages to a heritage which, however, it is of vital importance to the growth of humanity. To prevent Cultural Heritage from being destroyed, it is necessary to apply prevention and protection measures, using the available tools efficiently; the ultimate goal of prevention and protection must be resilience, which must be built through knowledge and careful planning of Heritage management. This research aims to analyze the methods and strategies that can be used for risk assessment and management applied to Cultural Heritage, verifying what level of awareness has been reached both nationally and internationally, reviewing the technologies which allow Heritage to be protected by facilitating risk mitigation work and applying a risk calculation and analysis prototype to the case study of the Museum of Nonantola, in the province of Modena.
